Privacy notice
FixNear connects customers with nearby repair providers. This notice explains the information used to operate the marketplace and the choices available to account holders.
Information we process
We process account and contact details, approximate or precise location when you grant permission, service addresses, repair descriptions and selected photos, booking history, support communications, device and security signals, and transaction or invoice records. Repair providers may also submit identity and business-verification evidence.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate accounts, find relevant providers, manage bookings, protect customers and providers, verify businesses, prevent abuse, issue invoices and warranties, respond to support requests, meet legal obligations, and improve service reliability.
Sharing and processors
Booking details are shared with the customer and assigned provider as needed to complete a repair. Approved infrastructure, authentication, mapping, messaging, analytics, payment, and support processors may handle limited information under contractual safeguards. We do not sell personal data.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Verification evidence is access-controlled and is not public. Some invoice, fraud, dispute, safety, and warranty records may be retained after account deletion where law or an active obligation requires it. We use access controls, encryption in transit, audit logs, least-privilege policies, and multi-factor authentication for sensitive staff actions.
Your choices
You can decline location or photo permission, update account details, contact support in the app, or request account deletion. Withdrawing a device permission may limit nearby discovery or evidence upload but does not remove previously submitted records.
